Character Name: Donnel "Donny" Tinhead.
Canon: Fire Emblem: Awakening.
Canon Point: Post-game (I'll be playing him from the ending where Robin takes the final strike on Grima).
Background/History: Right here is a link to Donnel's wiki page./This one is a link to Fire Emblem: Awakening's wiki page!
Personality: Best described as kind, obedient, and hard-working, Donnel genuinely loves to help others for the sake of their happiness. This is understandable because of the environment he grew up in; where he comes from, a small, old-fashioned village, it's only right to always think of others, put them before yourself, and act civilized and generous towards everyone around you. This is evident when Donnel's mother chastises him for not bowing down to Chrom, their continent's exalt, and treating him with utmost respect.

Donnel has always given to everyone without expecting anything in return. For example, when one of the army's dark mages needed certain rare animals for her spells, he didn't hesitate a bit to help her. He was able to catch animals very easily because of his exceptional hunting skills. The first time she asked him, Tharja (the dark mage) didn't even give him an explanation, yet he still didn't ask any questions. He kept doing this until she asked him what he wanted from her; no one could ever slave around for her unless they wanted her to perform a spell in return, right? So he told her that he didn't want anything - back in his village, it was expected of everyone to help the dark mages as much as they could whenever they would be performing a hex. When she didn't believe him and kept asking, he finally told her that he wanted her to perform a hex to stop the common cold from going around in their military camp.

Further presenting Donnel's ability to obey and comply with others' requests, he once read an extremely lengthy book of laws and memorized all of it in one night because someone told him that he needed to learn proper conduct and said that they would teach him how to be a proper gentleman. He said that he read it because it was unfair to keep it for too long, since it was a present from the girl's father, and that he shouldn't "sit on it." He then proceeded to recite all of it in front of her just from memory.

❝'Sides, it's mighty nice of ya to teach me, so I owe it to ya to do my part.❞

In retrospect, it's quite easy to see how much responsibility he takes for such a young boy. His age is never stated, but he's supposedly the youngest member of the army. Even though he's not very good at it, he still tries to cook for everyone because he understands how hard they all work and respects them for it. In addition, he also supports them in their hobbies and endeavors outside of battle as best as he can. Although he didn't quite understand a certain character's nature because of how hyper and neurotic she was, he still spent time with her just because she was feeling down and wanted to play.

❝Aw, shucks, Nowi! I think yer a real hoot, too!❞

Another striking quality about Donnel is how he always keeps true to his word and is genuinely a good human being; his late father gave him his most prized stone, saying it had a mysterious power that he had not yet discovered, because Donnel promised to find out what its power and importance was. He still keeps it dear to him, even though his father passed away, and says that because it was his father's biggest treasure, it was also his, and protected it with all he could. He still wanted to discover what its wonders were after the war was over.
Abilities: Donnel lived on a farm in a tiny village before joining Chrom's army, and it's evident that he performed hard labor there. He claims to enjoy plowing fields, herding livestock, and planting/tending to the seasonal crop, which is a foreshadowing of his potential strength.

Once recruited, he starts out in the villager class; he can only wield lances, has low statistics (which basically means he's not strong, isn't fast, and can't defend himself very well), and to be frank, he's not very useful. It's hard to even recruit him into the army under his circumstances because of how difficult it is to battle using him. In short, he hinders the army he's a part of instead of helping them. However, as the game advances and characters level up, Donnel's abilities finally shine after the dark times of trying to raise his experience points.

His stats rocket so high that he's able to take an enemy out single-handedly while just being in the villager class (the weakest class in the game). Reclassing him makes for an even more powerful soldier; though this is controversial, Donnel can end up being one of the most powerful, important, and valuable soldiers in the whole game. He can level up to be:

-a mercenary, who wields swords. Mercenaries upgrade to heroes, who also wield swords as well as axes.
-a fighter, who wields axes. Fighters upgrade to either heroes or warriors (warriors use axes).
-or a bow knight, who wields both bows and swords. This class does not upgrade to anything.
Items/Weapons: I'll be playing Donnel as a fighter that was upgraded to a hero. With that, he'll be bringing an iron axe, a vulnerary (vulneraries restore the user's health by a small amount, and are good for three uses), and the stone his father gave him before he died.
